Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Decibel Meter · dB & Sleep Sounds mobile application (the “App”) developed and operated by Aksoy Labs (“we”, “our”, or “us”). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
2. License
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms and the Apple Standard End User License Agreement (EULA).
3. Subscriptions and Purchases
The App requires an active subscription or one-time purchase to access its features. Available plans:
Weekly Subscription: $0.99 introductory price for the first week, then $3.99/week.
Monthly Subscription: $4.99 introductory price for the first month, then $7.99/month.
Auto-Renewal: All subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Your Apple ID account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
Managing Subscriptions: You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID account settings or the App Store. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. There is no refund for the unused portion of a subscription period.
All payments are processed by Apple. We do not have access to your payment information. For refund requests, please contact Apple Support.
4. Accuracy Disclaimer
The App provides approximate sound level measurements using your device’s built-in microphone. Measurements are intended for informational and educational purposes only. The App is not a certified or calibrated sound level meter and should not be used as a substitute for professional-grade equipment.
The sleep and snore tracking features provide general indicators based on sound patterns. They are not medical devices and do not provide medical diagnoses. Snore scores, intensity breakdowns, and remedy comparisons are for informational purposes only.
Do not rely on the App for: Occupational safety compliance or official regulatory measurements. Medical or audiological diagnosis of any condition including sleep apnea. Legal or regulatory noise assessments. Any situation where inaccurate measurements could result in harm.
The hearing test feature provides a general indication only and is not a medical hearing evaluation. The hearing age calculation is an estimate based on frequency response and should not replace a professional audiological assessment. Consult a qualified audiologist for professional hearing assessments.
The baby room monitoring feature provides noise level alerts and is not a substitute for a dedicated baby monitor. Do not rely solely on this feature for the safety of a child.
5. Health Information Disclaimer
The App is not a medical device. Snore tracking, remedy logging, rest ratings, and hearing assessments are provided for personal informational use only. This information should not be used to diagnose, treat, or prevent any medical condition. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical advice.
6. Permitted Use
You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to: Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App. Modify, adapt, or create derivative works based on the App. Use the App for any unlawful or unauthorized purpose. Attempt to interfere with the proper functioning of the App. Use the App to make recordings of other individuals without their knowledge or consent where required by applicable law.
The App allows you to record video with a real-time decibel overlay for the purpose of documenting noise conditions. You are responsible for complying with all applicable laws regarding video and audio recording in your jurisdiction.
7. Intellectual Property
All content, features, and functionality of the App including design, graphics, text, code, and the Decibel brand are owned by Aksoy Labs and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Aksoy Labs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the App. This includes but is not limited to damages resulting from reliance on any measurement, snore score, hearing assessment, or other data provided by the App.
The App is provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
9. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.
10. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
11. Apple Standard EULA
In addition to these Terms, your use of the App is also governed by the Apple Standard End User License Agreement (EULA). In the event of any conflict between these Terms and the Apple Standard EULA, the Apple Standard EULA shall prevail.
12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Turkey, without regard to conflict of law principles.
